    "Harmonization of the standards and application of the best practices in the area of testing fuels for vehicles".

    As part of implementation of the Minutes of reunion of the Inter-state Commission for Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Azerbaijan, the seminar "Harmonization of the standards and application of the best practices in the area of testing fuels for vehicles" was organized. The seminar took place in the city of Bacu, Azerbaijan, in a period of 23.09.2014 - 25.09.2014.

    Moldovan delegation included the following representatives of the State Enterprise "TCISC":  
    1. Mr. Vadim Şargarovschi - General director of the State Enterprise „Technical Centre for Industrial Safety and Certificaiton", head of the Certification Authority;
    2. Mr. Boris Pintilie - head of the Laboratory for reagents and petroleum products scientific research and testing  ;
    3. Ms. Svetlana Tcacenco - expert, Certification branch.

    Host country was represented by a lot of officials in the area of quality infrastructure, such as: 

    1. The president of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents, Mr. Ramiz Ayvaz oğlu Həsənov;
    2. Head of the Testing Laboratory of State Committee for Standardtization, Metrology and Patents, Mr. Mahmud Kamal oğlu Qubatov.

    During the seminar a lot of aspects related to the implementation of the European standards in the area of fuels testing in Azerbaijan. The practical aspects of application of the standards, equipment necessary for use of best practices and specialized laboratories have also been discussed. 

    The importance of the legal and standardization-related framework harmonization has been stressed by the parties, which is necessary to react to the requirements of the international economic cooperation and application of the European standards in the process of regulation.
